3B0920829A in Golf IV

Hello friends,

I wonder if maybe someone here have knowledge is it possible to put Passat instrument panel 3B0920829A into Golf IV 1,9TDI 2003?
I heard something about putting Passat instrument panel to Golf IV but if I remember correctly eeprom was modified or even other eeprom (from golf) was used in 3B0920829A to work properly in Golf car.

Anyone have some details how to bite it?

This link is for 3B7 920 846D (petrol) not for 3B0 920 829A (diesel). Some time ago I already converted UK cluster/instrument panel 3B7 920 946D (petrol W8 passat) into EU cluster 1J5 920 846C (diesel 1.9TDI golf) and i used this tutorial:

You think that procedure for 829 will be the same? No differences in mod between passats 846/946 and 829? For example differences in hardware? I know that eeprom is different but this is not the problem for me (i know the differences between VWK501MH and VWK503MH).

If You ask why 829

829 have newer/bigger/nicer "trip km" display

Trip km is upper and main km is lower on display - the same like Audi (in golf clusters "trip/main" is reverse).
Hmm..Or maybe there is a chance to swap only this small display?

I think is a similar clusters. Except data location in dump.

Thank you Friends, for answers.

The reasons for swap cluster to 3B0920829A was two.
First - because of fancy/newer display of trip/distance (like in Audi)

Second - because of my problems with measure of distance between ColorMFA and VW cluster (i described my problem here: viewtopic.php?t=15&start=280). But now i know that this problem is not related with cluster (or its hardware/software). In a few days I will describe again my observations in thread "Issues and solutions".

About trip/distance screen - I think I've seen somewhere before in the internet thread how to swap only this display - but i can't find this tutorial now. If anyone knows what I am writing about - please share

hi i use a 1j5920846 Dash and replace it to a 3b0920847E and i use the Dump from 15. Sergon73. But the Water Temp not work and the Diplay is allways on when Ignation off...

Which exactly eeprom from my link is used?
Disable by DDE the indication of rear door for use in car with ccm 1j0.
Cooling temperature - need to choose in DDE the function of CAN bus like cooling from CAN bus.

i use the dump from Sergon73. its position 15 on your Site. The original Dash (1j5920846) works with coolingtemp without can
