Hello,

I got a wiring issue... Everything worked for 3 weeks and than I got a failure.

Seen in picture:
I measure on 1 can wiring 9V ... (nothing connected) On the other one 3,5V

I hope only the can controller is defect.

A video the color mfa is starting. Does anybody has a tip for me?

I don't understand what wires you measure the voltage on? CAN-bus ? Motor, Comfort ?

I hope, this is understandable ^^
You don't know what the failure text "ooops hard fault" stands for? What my be defect?

Thanks!

It is strange that there is no voltage at the VCC pin....

Disconnect the screen from ColorMFA. Turn on the power (KL30 + KL15). Measure the voltage across the tantalum capacitors (see picture).
Try with your hand (a thermal imager would help, but you can also use your hands) the temperature of the components on the board (there should be no very hot elements, if there are very hot, immediately turn off the power).
Do not turn on the ColorMFA for a long time while the problem is present.

Hello,

Both cold

Here the voltage

Between ground and the Pins.

First I measured the Pins you marked in the picture. Both were 0 V , than I measured the otherside.

Now I read your Post again the measurement Across was 1.12V top one in my picture. On the bottom one 3.3V across.
Regards!

Are you sure that the ignition signal (KL15) is present during the measurement ?
Take a good photo of the back side of the board (where the voltage was measured, only from the back side).

First the Picture:
In the messurements above the Blue led wasnt flashing.

Now it is gettin Crazy.

After I measured the voltage for the Post above…

Display back on, on kl30 - Blue led was flashing. Nearly every 2 or 3 seconds.

Kl15 on and the mfa worked grate for 3-4 keycycle.
(shown in the Video)
I Could measure 5V and 3.3V as it is shown in your picture.

Than I Tried it a 5th time (waited 10 Minutes).
The Screen crashed with some Lines in the Screen / Blue led off.

Now the MFA is Not Starting. Blue led off.
1.12V on the black capacitor.
3.3 on the other one.

That is „Crazy“

Take a photo of the back of the board (as I wrote above). On the reverse side of tantalum capacitors.

I think you have a bad connection somewhere. Are the wires soldered well? Or there is contamination on the board (possible short circuit due to contamination).

I struggeld with the size of the Picture
I ordered stuff to redo all of the soldering…

Visually, there are no problems with power stabilizers.
You will need to carefully check (it would be good to use a microscope or a camera with a magnification) the contacts of all elements on the board. Check for possible short circuits or poor contact (poor soldering). Unfortunately, I can't help with this remotely.
Where are you from ?

Unfortunately I don't know anyone. :(
You can ask the guys on tx-board.de. There is a topic about ColorMFA. But I don't know if anyone can help or not.
Good ole Germany.
Unfortunately, now sending via regular channels (Postal Service, UPS, DHL, etc.) from Germany to Russia and back to Germany will not work or will be very long (5-8 months) and very expensive. :(

Thanks. It is soooo sad, that the mfa is Not Anymore Sold Form you and your Team.

It is an awesome Projekt / Product. I will Say thanks for the Research and Development!
That was a lot of work, correct?

Thanks for the Support!

Hello @autopilot

I measured all the resistors.

I found some curios ones.
I will change all yellor marked resistors, cause they don't have the value as it should be.

The complete list of resistors which have too low resistance:

Legend to the resistor value table (picture above):
R76 12000 - 123 3470 4140
R76 : resistor number at the board
12000 Ohm factory value
123 (resistor-code)
3470 Ohm Measurement with Multimeter #1
4140 Ohm Measurement with Multimeter #2

L5973D :
On the U16 I measure on PIN3 12V
On the U15 the pin is grounded.

Maybe the resistors in PIN5 is the cause, that I will not get 5V anymore?

I will see where the 12V KL15 / 12V KL30 and the ground is going over the board^^
If you will have ANY Tipps for me, I will be very grateful! Thanks!

Regards, Danone

It is not correct to measure the resistance installed on the board. The resistance can be connected in parallel with other elements or in parallel with the internal circuits of the IC. For correct measurement, the resistance must be desoldered.

Measurements for a 5V stabilizer enable signal:
Power only on KL30 (w/o KL15) - all CAN-bus wires not connected, wait ~5-10sec after power up before measure:
1 - 0V
2 - 0V
3 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V)
4 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V)

Power on KL30 and KL15 (conditions is the same, CAN-bus fully disconnected):
1 - 3.3V
2 - 0.6-0.7V
3 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V)
4 - 0V

Measurements at the pins of the 5V stabilizer (L5973D - U16):

Power only on KL30 (w/o KL15) - all CAN-bus wires not connected, wait ~5-10sec after power up before measure:
pin 1 - 0V
pin 2 - 0V
pin 3 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V)
pin 4 - 0V
pin 5 - 0V
pin 6 - 0V
pin 7 - 0V
pin 8 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V)

Power on KL30 and KL15 (conditions is the same, CAN-bus fully disconnected):
pin 1 - 5V
pin 2 - 2.2V
pin 3 - 0V
pin 4 - 1V
pin 5 - 1.25V
pin 6 - 3.3V
pin 7 - 0V
pin 8 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V)

Hello,

sry for the late response.
No CAN connected and no Display installed. Only ground, KL15 and KL30 connected
I think KL15 has no effect on the 5V stabilizer. I measured directly on the pins: 12,66V (Battery voltage)

Power only on KL30 (w/o KL15) - all CAN-bus wires not connected, wait ~5-10sec after power up before measure:
1 - 0V - 0,65V
2 - 0V - 0,15V
3 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V) - 12V
4 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V) - 11,94V

Note: (turning KL15 on (no effect) but 12V are attached to the board like in the first picture shown.)
Power on KL30 and KL15 (conditions is the same, CAN-bus fully disconnected):
1 - 3.3V - 0,65V
2 - 0.6-0.7V - 0,15V
3 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V) - 12V

pin 3 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V) - 11,92V
pin 4 - 0V - 0V
pin 5 - 0V - 0,28V
pin 6 - 0V - 0V
pin 7 - 0V - 0V
pin 8 - power voltage minus 0.7 (for 12V is a 11.3V) - 11,99V

Note: (turning KL15 on (no effect) but 12V are attached to the board like in the first picture shown.)
Power on KL30 and KL15 (conditions is the same, CAN-bus fully disconnected):
pin 1 - 5V - 1,13V

Judging by what I saw on the video and in the measurement results, I can conclude that most likely you have a problem with the main chip (BGA). Most likely, due to the deformation of the main board, there are torn off legs of the IC.
There is only one "cure" option: warm up the chip using a hot air gun and high-temperature flux. If this does not help, then you will not be able to fix it yourself. :( Replacing the IC is possible only with us (requires flashing the initial code).

oh noooooooooooo :(

I will try it what you said. can you tell me what is the main chip (BGA?)

Which deformation have you seen?
Couldn't find something with BGA ...
