Hi,

My TT is tuned, and has 3 bar map sensor selected but highest torque shown is 296 lb-ft even though I am having 348 lb-ft

probably u need to edit a certain cell in the ecu firmware for that to show tuned value

Thank you for reply, it’s not the motor information part it’s action the trip data where it shows the information about trip. I have done a 3rd gear pull to red line and it doesn’t show more than what I mention for torque

ColorMFA does not calculate torque. The engine ECU calculates it and sends it to the CAN bus. ColorMFA only displays the value.

Hi, autopilot

What ID, byte and formula does the colormfa use to display torque ?

Max value 360NM on my car TDI, i would like to modify the ecu to show more :Yahoo!:

And for water temperature ? Thanks

2° different with dash en ecu

I think it is ID420_byte 5, with formula Y=0.75*X-48 [degC].

So I'm not going to be able to change the value because the dash doesn't change like the edc15 :sorry:

dependent on dash. I calibrated mine. Also custom code is possible to calibrate in flash...must be several other ways also.

I'm talking about what the Dash sends back to the CAN and not the needle.

With a working sensor, there is no need to do any calibrations.

How then to explain the two degrees of difference between VCDS and colormfa? The sensor works perfectly 🙂

What data are you verifying? There are 2 sensors installed in the car (on most VAG cars 1999-2007).

Just 1 sensor :)

4 wires 2 for dash 2 for ecu ;-)

In one phisical housing there are actualy 2 sensors.
In my car sometimes they show the same temperature and sometimes there is 1 degree C difference.

On VCDS 90°C
On ColorMFA 88°C (engine)
90°C (dashboard)

I'm looking at the dashboard needle so it's not a problem but I would like to understand...

As I already wrote there are two (maybe have to add independent) sensors in one housing. This is the reason for 4 wires (2 for each). One is used by engine and the other by dashboard. Both data are present on CAN, so ColorMFA could show both values. I never studied which one is used by VCDS, but according to your measurements it is dashboard sensor.
I also do not know if in emergency case of one sensor failed completly the other could serve for both purposes. It is clear that water temperature is one of crucial parameters for calculations of engine electronics.
