Gear assist showing N
I've got a problem with my Golf mk4, when i'm driving along the gear assist works great, no issues what so ever.
But as soon as i let of the gas to "engine brake" it hops to N. When i press the gass again comes back to normal.
I've just instaled ColorMFA in an S4 B6 aswell and in that car its working perfectly.
My car is quite heavily tuned on the stock ECU(ME7.5), so i'm not sure if the gear assist uses caluclauted engine torque or something. I just updated to the latest firmware of ColorMFA but still having an issue.

Can you take video of CAN-monitor (only with an active "Motor CAN") while you driving with "engine brake" ?

Nothing is visible in the photo with such poor quality.
But it doesn't matter ... There is no fix in ColorMFA because you have changed all the markers used to identify neutral gear. If consumption is not zero motor load is also not correct and torque is not correct... It can only be fixed in the firmware of your motor.

Autopilot could you short explain identification of neutral gear in latest fw ?
I found: if i put gearbox in neutral when car is in moving ColorMFA shows fifth gear (have no sixth) and shift down red arrow.
This is pretty logical for me - RPM on idle (800) is under minimum value i set (1100) and the ratio between speed and RPM is highest on highest availabe gear - fifth in my case.
Did you implement additional neutral gear detection (for example: 0 throtle pedal position, engine torque arround zero, RPM about idle combined with speed higher that corresponds to idle RPM ...) ?

Yes, additional detection implemented. Throttle, consumption, rpm... but this does not work on all vehicles now. "Push mode" is a same as "engine brake" mode ? Right ? Or am I misunderstanding ?It always shows N in "push mode".
In this mode, the fuel consumption is 0 ?

If you fully depress the clutch pedal, N is displayed ?

When I'm coming of the throttle ColorMFA shortly shows N then goes back to the correct gear. This is because ME7.5 ECU atleast has overrun for 1sec where the consumption Is not 0. Can this be fixed with a newer firmware? Also when catalyst heating is active N always shows when engine braking. Cannot ColorMFA use clutch switch to know when to show N?

ColorMFA use clutch for displaying N. Every pressing cluch ColorMFA must show N.Also when catalyst heating is active N always shows when engine braking. Cannot ColorMFA use clutch switch to know when to show N?

Maybe adding a condition that RPM must be lower then 1000 (when car is moving) to show N will be solution for unwanted N showing.
