Hi everyone - i know colourMFA supply is stopped at the moment but there is still interest. I still have some kits that i am playing with.

Hey @autopilot - is it possible to change the function with Golf Mk5 steering wheels button?

I've found the menu button acts as "down". It would be good if this presses as "OK" to bring up the main menu.

Essentially two "OK" buttons for Golf MkV FW.

Do you use a mk5 steering wheel in a mk5 car? Or in another car?
Currently the buttons "up", "down", "left", "right", "ok", "back" are used. The "menu" button is not used.

Yes it is mk5 R32 - all original hardware. Mk5 R32 steering wheel in mk5.

Take a photo with the CAN-monitor screen (only with Сomfort CAN active). ID 5C1 should be visible on the screen. Two photos: one with the "down" button pressed and one with the "menu" button pressed.

Ok thanks. Can test this when next with the car. Will be in a couple of weeks.

Another thing the owner showed me is the diagnostics for instrument cluster is not communicating. I am thinking I need to check diagnostics pins at CAN gateway. If that is correct - anything else you can think that could be the issue ?

Engine module scanning for codes is OK.

It is possible that ColorMFA on some cars will not connect to the instrument panel, gateway and blocks on the extended CAN (if extended CAN is present). Unfortunately, this cannot be changed.
External diagnostic devices (like VCDS, ODIS e.t.c.) should work as before.

Ah ok... I'll bring my VCDS cable next visit. Meantime I'll see if the owner has his own obd reader to test instrument module.

I'm pretty sure instruments reads on the Mk2 TT... I'll have to triple check. I don't drive it that much these days LOL.

Check which protocols are enabled in the hidden settings.
Debug→ Diagnostics→ Protocols
