You can use any voltage from 10V and above.
18pF is preferred than 22pF (depends on the quartz resonator, but usually it is like this).

Ordered both.
About quartz resonator I have only information on this www store (
CLICK) that this is "quartz resonator 16 MHz SMD 3,2 x 2,5 mm" - that's all

Now have to waiting about 1-2 weeks for all items (all ordered from this www store).
P.S. New cluster (8E0 920 900 NX) - arrived, already tested and successfully adopted into the car.

Hello again.
Finally i received electronic components. Now i have few question and i am asking for advice..
-i have solder station Weller and hot-air station. Which device in Your opinion should i use to solder this components?
-what max temp should i setup using one of this device? (or what temp should i avoid?)
-resonator polarity/orientation is irrelevant? (don't see any dot on it)
-required TJA1055T/3 i received TJA1055/3 without "T" but i ordered with "T".. should be fine?
-did i mark pin no. 1 (dot) correctly?

- a soldering station is sufficient.
- for soldering station 280-300 C.
- the quartz resonator can be installed in 2 direction. the long side of the resonator along the long side of the footprint on the board.
- is ok.
- yes is correct

One more thing - should i left original solder tin on MB? Or maybe remove and add new one?

I think adding some solder would be okay.
Do not use acid for soldering. Or acid-based flux.
Use rosin or neutral flux.
And don't solder "dry". Use flux or rosin.

Hello.
After 5 months im back with this project - sorry for long time but i had lot of other important things.
Few minutes ago I finished soldered MCP2515, TJA1055 and resonator (this took me almost 3h and now I have to finish for today) but I wouldn't be myself if I didn't check if ColorMFA still works

So I connected 12v and ColorMFA boot and give original VW animation

But I haven't soldered yet two little capacitors.
Autopilot - did I break something if I ran ColorMFA without capacitors?
Tomorrow I will add photos of how it looks.

Quartz does not work without capacitors. MCP does not work without quartz.

Well.. ColorMFA is dead.
Today I soldered last two 18pF capacitors, after that cleaned MB with IPA cleanser and I connected it to 12v - little led is down, no boot animation.. nothing. So I removed that two 18pF capacitors just to check if it boot, connected 12v, but nothing...
I dont know what could go wrong..
Now, are there any chances to get help with this?

The board could not have been damaged due to the capacitors.
Check the screen connectors (on the flexible cable too). Check the supply voltage. Check the voltage on the tantalum capacitors. See what current the board consumes (with a multimeter) when power is supplied.

Update:
Its working! I don't know what happened - but the most important thing is that it works!
After removing capacitors ive checked few components with multimeter... nothing special. Few minutes later I connected only MB to 12v and noticed that LED is blinking

. I disconnected 12v, put the screen, but again it stops working (LED not blinking)

So again I removed screen and here I decided to solder capacitors again. After that I only connected 12v again - LED blinking...so far so good. And again turn-off, put screen, hit juice 12v and "great successs" - worknig!

This is quite strange. It shouldn't be like this. When powered, it should work regardless of the presence of the screen and those capacitors.

I know.. that was strange. Maybe there was some IPA liquid in the LCD connectors?
Autopilot - so now I have two questions:
1. How to check on the table if new soldered components (for audi CAN communication) working properly? I wouldn't like to install ColorMFA in cluster and then remove again.
2. Should I flash firmware now? Or after installing ColorMFA in cluster?

Full test possible only if you have CAN-bus on the table.
Go to Debug, CAN Status and see what info displayed about Info-CAN.
2. Should I flash firmware now? Or after installing ColorMFA in cluster?
Does not matter. With 8E firmware button (KEY) does not work as buttons on the table (buttons work only via CAN on 8E). You can not navigate on menu with 8E firmware. So all the checks are done, you can install the firmware for 8E. If not everything is checked, then it is better to wait.

So now (on the table) its better to not flashing fw but trying go to Debug and to CAN status menu, correct? -did I understood You correctly?
