ColorMFA

Hey all,

just for your interest. ColorMFA is basically working with dashboards with small displays (without OEM MFA).

There are some limitations, like washing water level sensor and bulp control is not working and maybe other functions.

Also, CAN Info might not work yet, because ColorMFA cant do the job of a full-featured CAN Info gateway. So certainly, navigation with a VW/Audi Navigation system will not work at the moment if they rely on CAN Info data.

In general, ColorMFA is showing informations which are sent by radio and maybe navigation systems. You can see this in the following video (sorry, radio code wasnt present, but you can see that the FM-line when radio is activated).

Hi.

ColorMFA support audio/navigation systems connected on both CAN (Comfort and Info). Audio data from Info-CAN is high priority.
In default setting ColorMFA only parse original exchange between dashboard and audio/navi.
On A2 with halfFIS, cluster do not exchange with navi (navi connected to Comfort-CAN). Only radio data is present on CAN-bus.
BUT. You may enable some features in hidden menu to enable exchange ColorMFA with navi.
Debug->Software->Forcing->Audi Navi
Also you may enable emulate original colorFIS mode.
Debug->Software->Forcing->Color Navi (worked only if enabled "Audi Navi")

This features may be enabled only if original exchange between cluster and navi is not present.

Is a test features, but it tested on some cars (also in VW with connected RNS-E) and it worked fine.

After enable/disable this features need fully restart cluster and RNS-E.
