After adjusting the adapter, take a video of the CAN monitor. During video recording, press the multifunction buttons. Need to see how 5C3 changes when pressed.

The data in the 5C3 should change with any press of the multifunction buttons.

You said that everything works on the other car. Is this your friend's car? Can you plug your adapter into his car?
