1st run with great ColorMFA but questions...

Hello,

I have driven for 100 kilometers pleying with this awesome item !
- I get an oil temp going up to 117°C while engine temp on climatronic is steady on channel 51 at 90°C. not sure there is a correlation here but is this temperature normal during drive at 90km/h ?
- I used the cruise control, sometimes the setting gives 1, 2 or 3km/h decrease or increase, did I misunderstand something ?

Thanks a lot

1. The oil temperature is in most cases higher than the coolant temperature. Oil and coolant temperatures always change while driving.
2. ColorMFA only displays cruise information. The engine ECU controls all cruise functions. While driving on a cruise, the current speed can vary +-3 km/h. The set speed for the cruise should not change (green on the ColorMFA screen).

1. Ok this is normal since it's also cooling turbo, thanks.
2. Yes I agree on speed based on road level, I'm talking about the command, we can push on decrease or increase, on my car sometimes the speed control increases / decreases of 1, 2 or 3 km per hour for one push only; are you just sending the command to the ECU or is it interpreted ?

Thanks

ColorMFA does not change or control cruise. Only display values.
On your car cruise control buttons directly connected to motor ECU.

OK clear, thanks, I might be looking for a firmware of the ECU... :p

Hi, I soldered the boost wire and I was wondering:
- Boost is increasing between 2000 and 2500 RPM, below it's always "0", is this expected ?
- Any calibration might be needed VS VCDS is the resistivity wire implies a voltage drop (analog measurement) ?

Thanks

Boost is above atmospheric pressure. In IDLE mode, you will not see any boost value.
If the car is stationary and idling, "boost" can be seen only by pressing the accelerator quickly "to floor" (max ~0.3 bar).
The boost value can be seen while driving. And if you don't press the accelerator pedal while driving, you won't see boost again.

Thank you autopilot for your information, it's clear.

Can you add a calibration here based on VCDS measurements ?
(I think I have 0.1 bar difference coming for the wire resistance)

Maybe in the future. Calibration is not possible at this time.

Hello, I could see that oil temperature keeps same low value for more than 5 minutes before increase and is not aligned with channel 51 of the fan feature ? are you just reading or is there any buffer ?

ColorMFA does not use any buffer for oil temperature. What is received on the CAN-bus is shown on the screen.
I do not know what is "channel 51 of the fan feature". On the TT, the oil temperature can be seen in channel 50 of the cluster diagnostics.

I was refering to channel 51 here but it looks like it's a smooth water temperature reading and that climatroinic does not have access to oil temperature. What is the cluster diagnostic channel 50 ? VCDS ?
