Hello mounted my colormfa last year and it has been working fine upp untill now.

Totaly random wile driving the cluster will make a beep sound but no warning is shown.
Then after a wile also totaly random the colormfa will show rear brake pad warning, no new beep at this point.

Installed to FullFIS cluster ? Warning for brake pad or is a typo ?

Installed to full fis cluster.
Warning for brake pad wear yes.
And i know it is triggered from the rear pads.

But as i said sometimes its totaly random and with vissable message delayed severly from audio beep.

You are sure ?
In most of cars sensor installed only to front brake pads. And for A4B5 in ETKA present only front brake pads with sensors.

May you take some photo of CAN-monitor screen with active only Comfort-CAN ?

I am sure, rs4 b5 has rear wear sensors.
And these are the pads with close to no life left.

I can try to get that done.

There is some action there.
Both pictures taken after audio beep, but still no graphical warning.

More issues. My rns-e will send song data to the colormfa when i start car. And i can see the start of the song name and mp3 for instanca. This lasts a couple of minutes and then i hear a beep and song info is gone.
Mp3 is still there and still changes to fm numbers if i switch to radio.

No errors in radio/navigation or instruments when i check.
I will try to take pictures when this happen.

* Ok so i tried somethings.
Disabled navi function in colormfa, no change.
Tried uppgrading to b29 firmware, no change.
But fo some reason when song info dissapear, if open door song info returns...
See these issues:
Start car in morning, nav info overlapping where song info should be. Half way to work, song info/nav gone. Song info returns if door open...?

Ok so this may have been some of my own ignorance.
Apparantly there is an issue with the compass setting on the rns interfering with dis info.

But we are still back to the original issue.
I have now sorted the rear pads and shorted the pad warning.
But i still get a "BEEP" from the color mfa whjen i turn ignition on, but no graphical warning.
The problem now being that i dont know what it is, still no faults in ecu/cluster/brake modules.
Coolant level fine, oil level fine etc.

About RNS-E: if active navigation or compas data from RNS, info about track is not displayed. RNS send only one line (on original screen is a one line, on ColorMFA screen is a right text). Is not ColorMFA feature, is a original device feature.
Also may be present some incompatibles on A4B5 cluster and RNS-E. I don't know. I don't see on your photo with CAN-monitor some info from RNS-E, is a strange. Possible check coding and adaptation in your cluster ? May be need change something....

About beep when turn ignition on: try reset original service in cluster via VCDS. ColorMFA does not show original service warning. Need check and reset it manually.

Yes the rns issue is resolved by turning off compass.
Also info from rns-e comes over infotainment can, no option to watch that in can monitor?

I did Sri reset with vcds no change..
And i cannot find any dtc in any module.
Tried disconecting radio in case this would have any effect, but still beeps.

In most of A4B5 installed old radio and not used Info-CAN. In ColorMFA it not showed as option in CAN-Monitor.
Enable "Full CAN" in hidden settings to show "Info-CAN" option in CAN-Monitor.

ColorMFA does not show original service warning, but all other warnings must be work correct. May be in RS4 present more warnings and ColorMFA do not know about it... I not have any info about this.

Drove 2 hours + today, message showed upp. Brake pad warning again
So, fixed bridged sensor. No more beep.
Still this makes you wonder, why it takes so long to get the warning message when the beep is there the instant you trigger ignition.
