Why is a separate parameter needed? I really do not understand... Does anyone measure consumption in such units?

Hi I wanted to ask I information about the measurement display of the oil level. In the screen there is 2 levels left is green and is go up and down slightly while driving. And on the right is the level which is amber colour and says min and max.. which is the accurate and the amber one should be maximum amber?

Left bar: current (instant) oil level measured by sensor. The value will always change as you move. The oil level is not stable. When accelerating, braking, or tilting the body, the sensor will show different values.
Right bar: calculated oil level. The value that is calculated by ColorMFA or the motor control unit (on FSI/TFSI motors). This reading should match the reading on your oil dipstick.

You can make the left bar also display the current level as if it were on an oil dipstick. With the engine warm, standing still on a flat surface, remember what value the left bar shows at the maximum oil level and at the minimum oil level (control by oil dipstick). In the hidden settings (Debug→ Software→ Oil Sensor) specify the minimum and maximum values that you remember. Now the left bar will show your oil level. BUT ! You need to check the level on the left bar under the same conditions under which you memorized the data (the car is warmed up, standing still, standing on a flat surface). Under other conditions, it will not display your actual level like the oil dipstick.

Ok thanks so the right Amber current level should be at maximum showing amber?? Mines is just abit over the have way line.. but on the dipstick it's at the maximum level

At minimum and maximum it is displayed in amber color. In all ranges, the left bar lights up amber.

Does it not match the level on the dipstick? What car? What motor? What firmware is installed?

Please take a photo of the System->MotorInfo screen and the oil level screen when the actual oil level is at the maximum of the dipstick and the data is displayed on the right bar of the oil level screen.

Is it possible to design the oil level icon like how the oil dipstick is so can clearly see the min and max it will be easier like that
