I found a little similar issue on my Passat 1.8 T, APU engine.
In row Cyl./Valve 4/- is shown
but correct should be 4/20

This data is stored in motor ECU firmware. What info motor ECU sended to CAN, such and displayed.
Maybe used same ECUs for both engines and VAG does not change info in motor ECU firmware.

Old ECUs. This ECUs does not provide full info about motor.

Is there not a software option you can implement to “fool” colormfa to display 3.2 ??

How I detect real motor volume ?
Motor say: I'm a 2.8l engine...
If other parameters is the same in 3.2 and 2.8, not possible to distinguish one from the other in ColorMFA software.

May you make some video with Motor-CAN data ? Video must be in good quality. On this engine.

After data is displayed you may press Up/Down key for scrolling. Data is scrolled if not all of them is fitted to screen.

I'm don't know how to distinguish one from the other.
On your video and photo above, all parameters from motor ECU only for 2.8.
Even the Hp/torque... (3.2 does not produced with such Hp/torque).

On this car engine is factory installed or swapped ? Engine ECU is original ? Firmware for engine ECU not modified ?

I've had two reports - both factory mk4 R32 cars with the same phenomenon

maybe can there be an option in a menu to change it?
