s4 b5 possibility

Hey Guys!

I have S4 B5 from 1999 but its after lift. Vin is after 200 000 so exterior and interior all lift, just cluster is with analog clock. If i change cluster with digital clock is it possible to instal ColorMFA to my car? Please advise

Hi.
Every B5 need check individually. But analog clock is not good signal.
Requirement for install ColorMFA:
- engine ECU must have CAN-bus.
- ABS/ESP must have CAN-bus
- instrument cluster must have CAN-bus
- automatic transmission (if it present) must have CAN-bus
All control units (listed above) must be connected to same bus.
In typicaly, cars from 2000 model year is supported, but there are exceptions...
Also, typicaly, in cars from 2000 model year installed cluster with digital clock.

Thanks for reply. As far as i know my engine ECU have CAN because i changed it for 551D so its >2000. I will change cluster so in my opinion i will have to connect can bus between engine ECU and cluster. Its not immposible i think but i am worried about ESP....maybe i can chcange ESP driver for newer version and connect it somehow. What You think??

I'm don't know... Change cluster, change ESP (if need), change wires...
Too many changes, I think... But some people do this. Not only for ColorMFA, they do it for upgrade cars...

I spoke with guy who installed already ColorMFA and he said the most important is engine ECU CAN, ABS\ESP is not important to work, so i think its possible. Thanks!!
